

This
car came in needing an new interior, engine, top, brakes, automatic
transmission, complete suspension and more. The Boss in California
decided to keep the actual light green color instead of replacing it with the original "ivy green".
Today we know that this was a wrong decision. "Nobody is perfect" seems to be true, even in California. But maybe the Boss suspected, that some hidden and certainly unpleasant secrets would have been discovered under the paint? At least it was not rust...
A couple months later and here is
a great looking, but somewhat basic restoration of a classic Mustang. Even the AC blows cold and
the original radio is perfectly working.
As you can see by browsing through the picture gallery, a convertible in winter is only
half the fun. That's why we used the time from November 2010 until March
2011 to give Ivy a new paint job. For that she was stripped down to
bare metal and the new paintwork was build up from scratch. If there was any hidden rust, it surely was eliminated. But there was more...
